The open day is timed to be the best for blossom on the fruit trees and for spring flowers in the grassy areas.
Everything is just coming to life after the winter. It’s a feast for the senses
Our garden is first and foremost a place for nature. We leave the dead vegetation on the herbaceous beds over the winter, we leave leaf-litter to provide winter hiding places for invertebrates and we use no insecticides. The few herbaceous beds are devoted to bee-friendly flowers. We make a special effort with winter-flowering plants as the honey bees and bumble bees are increasingly becoming active year-round.
The trees and pools that make this landscape garden a delight also make it a haven for a wide range of wildlife.
